Trip FAQs

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Hong Kong?

Indian nationals generally do not need a visa for short visits to Hong Kong, but they must complete the required Pre-arrival Registration (PAR) before travelling, unless exempt under applicable rules. Successful registration is generally valid for multiple visits within its validity period. Travellers should verify their eligibility and current requirements through the official Hong Kong Immigration Department before booking.

Is Pre-arrival Registration (PAR) required for Hong Kong?

For eligible Indian nationals visiting Hong Kong visa-free, PAR is generally required before departure. Travellers must complete the online registration and carry the required notification slip and supporting documents. If PAR is unsuccessful or the traveller is not eligible, they should check the appropriate visa or entry-permit procedure.

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Macau?

Entry requirements for Macau differ from those for Hong Kong. Indian passport holders may be eligible for visa-free entry for short visits, subject to current immigration rules and the purpose and duration of travel. Confirm the latest requirements with the Macao Public Security Police Force or the relevant official authority before departure.

What documents should I carry for Hong Kong and Macau?

Travellers should generally carry: A valid passport. Confirmed flight tickets and travel itinerary. Hotel booking confirmations. Proof of sufficient funds, if requested by immigration. Hong Kong PAR confirmation, where applicable. Any required visa, entry permit, or supporting documents based on nationality and travel purpose.

How long should my passport be valid?

Passport-validity requirements can vary depending on nationality, immigration rules, and the travel documents held. Check the current requirements for both Hong Kong and Macau before travelling, and ensure your passport remains valid for the required period throughout the trip.

Can I enter Macau directly from Hong Kong?

Yes, travellers can generally travel between Hong Kong and Macau by ferry or other available cross-border transport. Carry your passport and ensure you meet the entry requirements for both destinations. Ferry schedules and availability should be reconfirmed before travel.

Do I need separate entry permission for Hong Kong and Macau?

Yes, Hong Kong and Macau have separate immigration systems. Permission to enter one destination does not automatically guarantee entry into the other. Check the requirements for each destination based on your passport and travel circumstances.

What if my Hong Kong PAR is unsuccessful?

If your PAR application is unsuccessful, review the official instructions and check whether you need to apply for a visa or entry permit before travelling. Do not assume that an unsuccessful registration allows you to board or enter Hong Kong.

Are visa fees included in this package?

No. Visa, registration, and entry-permit fees, where applicable, are excluded unless expressly stated in your final quotation.

Can Beyond Monday Travels help with visa documentation?

Our team can help you understand the documentation checklist and prepare your travel arrangements. Approval of any visa, registration, or entry permission remains subject to the relevant immigration authorities.

Ajay Ballal on Japan

Our Japan trip was an amazing experience from start to finish. The planning and arrangements were handled very smoothly, and the overall itinerary gave us a great mix of cities, culture, food and experiences. Osaka was one of my personal highlights. The food scene, atmosphere and energy of the city were fantastic. Tokyo was equally impressive in its own way, especially with its incredible public transport, neighbourhoods and sheer scale. Kyoto was beautiful and offered a completely different experience with its temples, traditional streets and cultural charm. Unfortunately, we had quite a bit of rain during our time there, so I definitely feel there is more of Kyoto left to explore — which gives me a good reason to come back! The Shinkansen experience was another major highlight. Travelling between cities was comfortable, efficient and an experience in itself. Japan's public transport system is genuinely impressive and made exploring the country extremely convenient. The food was another big part of the trip. From ramen to exploring different local dishes, Japan gave us plenty of memorable food experiences. 🍜 What also stood out was how helpful and polite people were throughout the trip, along with the incredible cleanliness everywhere we went. Overall, Japan was a fantastic experience and one of those trips that leaves you feeling that you haven't seen enough and need to come back again. ❤️🇯🇵 A big thank you to Shaaz for helping make the trip so smooth and memorable. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone planning a trip to Japan!
