Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Guwahati to Nongjrong
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet your driver.
- Begin the drive towards Nongjrong, enjoying the scenic countryside and green hills along the way.
- Check in to a local homestay, have dinner, and rest early in preparation for the next morning's sunrise. Overnight in Nongjrong.
Day 2Nongjrong Sunrise to Shillong
- Wake up early and head to Nongjrong Viewpoint to witness the sunrise, with the possibility of seeing a beautiful sea of clouds across the valley.
- Return for breakfast, check out, and travel towards Shillong.
- After arrival, check in and spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar, local cafés, or the town at your own pace. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 3Shillong to Jowai
- Enjoy breakfast and check out before driving towards Jowai in the Jaintia Hills region.
- Depending on travel time and road conditions, visit a nearby attraction such as Krang Suri Falls or enjoy scenic stops along the way.
- Check in to your accommodation in or near Jowai, relax, and prepare for the next day's cave adventure. Overnight in Jowai.
Day 4Krem Chympe Cave Adventure
- Start early and travel towards the Krem Chympe meeting or parking point as confirmed with the local operator.
- Explore the cave area with an authorized local guide. Depending on the operator's package and conditions, the experience may include a forest approach, underground river sections, bamboo boating, and a nearby waterfall.
- Return to Jowai for rest after the adventure. Overnight in Jowai.
Day 5Jowai to Shnongpdeng
- Have breakfast and check out before travelling towards Shnongpdeng via the Dawki region.
- Enjoy the scenic journey and visit the Umngot River area, with time for photographs and riverside relaxation.
- Check in to your riverside accommodation or camp. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and optional river activities, subject to conditions. Overnight in Shnongpdeng.
Day 6Shnongpdeng to Cherrapunjee
- Enjoy the morning by the river, with optional boating or other activities if available.
- Check out and travel towards Cherrapunjee, with sightseeing stops in the Dawki or Mawlynnong region if time permits.
- Visit selected Cherrapunjee viewpoints or waterfalls depending on arrival time and weather. Check in and stay overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 7Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek
- Start early and travel to Tyrna Village, the starting point for the Nongriat trek.
- Trek down the stone steps through lush forest to reach the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge and explore the surrounding natural scenery.
- Trek back to Tyrna and return to your accommodation in Cherrapunjee for a well-earned rest. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 8Cherrapunjee to Shillong
- Enjoy breakfast and check out from your accommodation in Cherrapunjee.
- Visit popular attractions such as Elephant Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfall, or other sightseeing spots depending on the route, weather, and available time.
- Continue to Shillong, check in to your hotel, and spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar or local cafés. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 9Shillong to Guwahati | Departure
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Begin the drive from Shillong to Guwahati. If time permits, stop at Umiam Lake for photographs and scenic views.
- Reach Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Our Japan trip was an amazing experience from start to finish. The planning and arrangements were handled very smoothly, and the overall itinerary gave us a great mix of cities, culture, food and experiences. Osaka was one of my personal highlights. The food scene, atmosphere and energy of the city were fantastic. Tokyo was equally impressive in its own way, especially with its incredible public transport, neighbourhoods and sheer scale. Kyoto was beautiful and offered a completely different experience with its temples, traditional streets and cultural charm. Unfortunately, we had quite a bit of rain during our time there, so I definitely feel there is more of Kyoto left to explore — which gives me a good reason to come back! The Shinkansen experience was another major highlight. Travelling between cities was comfortable, efficient and an experience in itself. Japan's public transport system is genuinely impressive and made exploring the country extremely convenient. The food was another big part of the trip. From ramen to exploring different local dishes, Japan gave us plenty of memorable food experiences. 🍜 What also stood out was how helpful and polite people were throughout the trip, along with the incredible cleanliness everywhere we went. Overall, Japan was a fantastic experience and one of those trips that leaves you feeling that you haven't seen enough and need to come back again. ❤️🇯🇵 A big thank you to Shaaz for helping make the trip so smooth and memorable. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone planning a trip to Japan!
